Keynote Speaker
Amy Raskin (ENG’93)
Amy P. Raskin is Chief Investment Officer, leading investment strategy, research and portfolio management at Chevy Chase Trust, an investment management firm and think tank specializing in global thematic investing and financial planning.
Prior to Chevy Chase Trust, Raskin was Senior Vice President at AllianceBernstein in New York, serving as Director of Thematic Research, head of U.S. & Global Growth Equity Research and Chief Investment Officer of AllianceBernstein Venture Capital Fund. Raskin’s team published in-depth research papers on a wide range of investment-related topics such as climate change, China, molecular medicine, hybrid autos and broadband, among others. Raskin joined AllianceBernstein in 2000 as an equity analyst and spent 13 years there focused on deep research and thematic investing. Earlier, she worked as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers and as a research analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
Raskin graduated from Penn Engineering with a bachelor’s in Systems Engineering. She serves on the Board of Advisors for Penn Engineering and is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Breakthrough T1D Fund, a philanthropic venture capital fund focused on finding a cure for type 1 diabetes. Raskin is a guest contributor on CNBC and a sought-after speaker at industry conferences.
Student Speaker
Julia Fremberg(ENG’25)
Julia Fremberg is from Great Falls, Virginia, and is graduating from Penn Engineering with a B.S.E. in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence and a minor in Mathematics.
During her time at Penn, Fremberg served as a teaching assistant for CIS 1200, one of the University’s largest introductory computer science courses, where she mentored students and helped foster a strong and supportive course community. She also served on the Executive Board of the Engineering Student Activities Council (ESAC) for all four years and as an Under Secretary-General for the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference (ILMUNC). Outside her academic commitments, Fremberg was a member of both the Bell and Hexagon Senior Societies. An avid runner, she completed both the Philadelphia Marathon and the New York City Marathon during her time at Penn. She also served as a Kite and Key tour guide, sharing her love for Penn with prospective students and their families.
After graduation, Fremberg will join Palantir Technologies in New York City as a Forward Deployed Software Engineer.
