Trisha Kothari (ENG’14)
Trisha Kothari is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Unit21, a leading platform in risk and compliance infrastructure, dedicated to empowering organizations in the fight against fraud and financial crime. Under her leadership, Unit21 has emerged as a trusted partner for banks, fintechs and financial institutions, offering AI-driven tools to detect and prevent illicit activities. Before founding Unit21, Kothari was among the first engineers at Affirm, where she played a pivotal role in building core components of the company’s infrastructure, including the ledger and risk systems.
Kothari has been recognized for her contributions to the industry, including being featured on Inc.’s 2022 Female Founders 100 list. She continues to advocate for innovation in the financial ecosystem and frequently shares her insights on the future of fraud prevention, AI in compliance, and financial inclusion at industry conferences.
Kothari holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
